27 Bridge Street,Kilburn                             

 

We have to take a jump forward to about 1916 when Harry Oliver(1871 - 1943)moved the Oliver family to 27 Bridge Street(no longer exist) in Kilburn.

There were 4 Olivers born in Bridge Street.

James(Jim) in 1919,Harry 1921,John 1923 and Dennis in 1927.

I can see from the electoral records that the Oliver family were still living in Bridge Street in 1933.

In 1935 they were living at 1D Oxford Road and in 1936 they were living at 13 Cambridge Avenue,Both in Kilburn.

I believe the Oliver family lived at 11 Cambridge Avenue and not number 13 as number 13 is not listed on the 1936 electoral records.

The Oliver family are listed as living at 11 Cambridge Avenue in both the 1938 and 1939 electoral records.

James Oliver(Jim)(1919 - 2000) marries Vera Cox the 24th August 1940 and is listed as living at 11 Cambridge Avenue.

Both roads still exist today but have been heavily rebuilt since.

The house at 1D Oxford Road does not exist today,not sure about 11 Cambridge Avenue.
