6 Charteris Road,Willesden  

 

The Oliver family moved to Charteris Road in about 1942.

 

6 Charteris Road in Willesden is without doubt the most important house in the modern Oliver family.Most of the modern Oliver family were born there between 1942 and 1960.

 

James Oliver(1919 - 2000) first child James Harry Oliver is born 2nd April 1942.

 

In 1943 Harry Oliver(1871 - 1943) died 11th July whilst living there.

 

In 1948 Harry(1921 - 2003) + Bessie(wife),Dennis(1927 - 2005),John(1923 - 1998) + Gertrude(wife),James(1919 - 2000) and Eliza(mother)(1881 - 1961) were all living there.

 

Both Harry and John had children in 1948 and Ernest and Margaret Burt were also living there at the time.

 

In 1949 Harry +  Bessie,Dennis,James and Eliza + children.Also Ernest and Margaret Burt,Eileen Hook and James Roche(no idea who he is).

 

In 1956 Harry + Bessie,Dennis + Joyce and Eliza + children.

 

In 1958 Harry + Bessie,Dennis + Joyce + Eliza

.

In 1960/61 Dennis and Joyce + children were the last Olivers to live there.

 

During those years there were also many other familys living there.The house still exist today(as 3 flats).
